About Us...

We are a not-for-profit arts organization located in the Federal Building Uptown Greenwood.  February 2010 marked our fourth year in this wonderful facility. 

In 2009, we recieved the 2008 Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Governor's Award for the Arts in recognition of outstanding contributions to the arts in South Carolina.

 

Mission Statement

The Arts Council of Greenwood County is committed to enhancing the quality of life through the arts for area residents and visitors.

 

We strive to:

(1) To Promote and provide opportunities for Local and Regional Artists

(2) To offer quality Arts Education Experiences

(3) To use art as an example of the Diversity of our Community

(4) To make a unique arts environment available for Public and Private Events

(5) To add to the Economic Vitality of the Uptown and Greenwood County
