Gardens

The gardens at the Railroad Historical Center are one of Greenwood's hidden jewels.  The one acre semi-formal garden is home to hundred year old boxwoods, crepe myrtles and a myriad of plant species that, according to plant experts, should not be growing in this area.  After several years of neglect, we began restoration of the gardens in 2005 with help from the Lakelands Master Gardeners.  Look for big changes and improvements to this diamond in the rough over the next few years.
