Outreach Programs
The Museum is an institution that was created and built by and for the community and as such we are committed to being involved in community programs as often as possible. Listed here are details about some regularly scheduled outreach programs offered by The Museum.
Kid Fest
Since the 1980’s, The Museum has been the host to Kidfest during the South Carolina Festival of Flowers. Thanks to our program sponsors, the event is completely free. It includes hands-on arts and crafts activities, programs and demonstrations related to a chosen theme each year. Kidfest 2009 is schedule for June 20 from 10-2 and the theme is “Physics is Phun.”

Uptown Boo Bash/Haunted Courtyard
The Uptown Greenwood Boo Bash is a safe, public venue for Greenwood kids to celebrate Halloween. The event includes games, candy prizes and more. Since 2006, The Museum has been working in collaboration with The Greenwood Arts Council, Greenwood Community Theatre and Uptown Greenwood Development Corporation to host the “haunted courtyard” during Boo Bash.
